Youth Union of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology responds to the Green Summer Campaign and Pink Holiday 2024
The program was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Tuan Anh, Member of the Central Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of VAST Party Committee and Vice President of VAST; Comrade Nguyen Thanh Tam, Vice President of VAST Trade Union; Comrade Tran Thi Mai Huong, Deputy Chief of the Office of the VAST Party Committee; Comrade Hoang Xuan Thuy, Deputy Chief of the Office of the Program.
On the side of VAST Youth Union, there was Comrade Phan Ke Son, Member of the Central Party Committee, Secretary of VAST Youth Union; comrades in the Standing Committee, comrades in the Executive Committee of the Hanoi-area Institute Youth Union, comrades in the Secretaries of the affiliated Youth Unions and nearly 100 comrades in the Youth Union and youth of the affiliated Youth Unions of the Hanoi-based Institute Youth Union. Within the framework of the program, VAST Youth Union coordinated to implement the following activities: Offering incense to commemorate the heroic fallen soldiers at the memorial house of the DNA Identification Center - Institute of Biotechnology on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of Wounded and Fallen Soldiers’ Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2024); Implementing activities in response to "Green Sunday" in the third quarter of 2024. The VAST Youth Union cleaned up the landscape, collected garbage, bottles, and plastic packaging around the campus of the DNA Identification Center, Co Nhue Technology Research and Development Area. The program "Green Sunday" took place in a lively and open atmosphere, which was an opportunity for the youth union members to exchange, promote solidarity, enhance the sense of self-awareness and responsibility of each union member and youth in the Institute for environmental protection, while promoting the spirit of initiative, volunteerism and creativity of VAST Youth Union in maintaining hygiene, protecting the environment, responding to climate change; creating a vibrant emulation movement of the Youth Union organization to participate in building a "Green - Clean - Beautiful" working environment.

| The DNA Identification Center is one of the three leading identification units in the country participating in Project 150 on searching, collecting and identifying remains of fallen soldiers with missing information. With modern facilities and equipment, the center has completed and applied new techniques and methods to optimize mitochondrial DNA identification processes and thereby contributed to improving the quantity and quality of identification results. In addition to routine DNA identification work, the center always focuses on in-depth research on the application of new technology to the analysis of old remains to carry out the noble task of DNA identification of fallen soldiers' remains in accordance with the conditions of Vietnam. |
