The Golden Globe Award aims to discover and honor young Vietnamese talents (not over 35 years old as of the year of award consideration) who are studying, researching and working at home or abroad. The candidates have excellent achievements in five fields: Information Technology, Digital Transformation and Automation; Medical and pharmaceutical technology; Biotechnology; Environmental Technology and New Materials Technology.
Within 4 months of launching, the Organizing Committee received 69 nominations from 38 agencies, units, universities, research institutes, businesses throughout the country and the Vietnamese Embassy, Youth and Student Associations Vietnam abroad. Based on the nomination of the Award Council, the Central Committee Secretariat decided to award the 2023 Golden Globe science and technology award to the 10 best young talents, including Information Technology, digital transformation and automation: 3 awards; Medical and pharmaceutical technology: 3 awards; Environmental Technology: 2 awards and New Materials Technology: 2 awards.

Dr. Ngo Ngoc Hai of the Institute of Genome Research, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology is honored to be one of 10 outstanding and talented young scientists to win awards in 2023, in the field of Environmental Technology, with research results related to the assessment of biodiversity, genetic diversity, ecology, populations, and the impact of climate change on animals in general and reptiles in particular, and from there, propose conservation solutions.

Some information about young Doctor Ngo Ngoc Hai Dr. Ngo Ngoc Hai was born on July 29, 1991, and is a researcher at the Genome Research Institute, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology. In 2022, he completed his PhD thesis with Distinction at the University of Cologne, Federal Republic of Germany. Main scientific research direction: Research on biodiversity, genetic diversity of rare wild animals, taxonomy, evolution, biogeography, ecology, populations, impacts of climate change post and conservation. Participating topics: Scientific secretary of 02 Nafosted projects and member of 02 Nafosted projects, Head of science and technology project at Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology level, part of the program to attract scientists excellent young people, and leads many conservation projects with international funding. |
