Workshop summarizing 15 years implementation of Resolution 27-NQ/TW, dated August 6, 2008 of 7th Plenum of 10th Party Central Committee "Building a contingent of intellectuals in the period of accelerating national industrialization and modernization”
The event was co-chaired by Mr. Tran Tuan Anh, Deputy Secretary of VAST Party Committee, Vice President of VAST and Mr. Phan Viet Phong, Deputy Head of the Science and Technology Department under the Party Central Committee Commission of Popularization and Education.
It drew the participation of Mr. Pham Tuan Huy, Standing Deputy Secretary of VAST Party Committee; Ms. Pham Thi Vui, Deputy Head of the Department of Popularization and Education under the Central Agencies Bloc Party Committee; experts and leaders of several units under VAST.
Deeply aware of the meaning and importance of the Resolution for the development of intellectuals, VAST Party Committee held a workshop to study and implement the Resolution of the 7th Plenum of the 10th Party Central Committee. VAST Party Committee and leaders of VAST and party committees at all levels have focused on directing and developing the action plan and implementing the Resolution; putting the content of building a team of intellectuals who conduct research in natural sciences into the Academy's development strategy; Implement remuneration policies, create working environment, conditions and strategies for training and fostering talents; coordinate with the national strategy on building and developing human resources and intellectuals in the period of accelerating national industrialization and modernization.
The workshop listened to the draft report summarizing the results of 15 years of implementing Resolution 27-NQ/TW, dated August 6, 2008 of the 7th Plenum of the 10th Party Central Committee, focusing on such issues as: Results implement the objectives of Resolution 27-NQ/TW; The completion of tasks and solutions of Resolution 27-NQ/TW; Results of implementation of tasks and solutions in Conclusion 52-KL/TW; Evaluate outstanding results, shortcomings, limitations, weaknesses and causes. Outlining lessons learned in practical implementation and proposing views, goals, tasks and solutions to promote the development of intellectuals for the period of 2023-2030, with a vision to 2045.
The workshop also heard comments from Mr. Phan Viet Phong, Deputy Head of Science and Technology Department under the Party Central Committee Commission of Popularization and Education; opinions of experts, scientists and presentation reports of the participants. The opinions expressed and discussed at the workshop were important information for the Drafting Board to absorb, edit and complete the final report.
