Workshop "Promotion of chemical and pharmaceutical technology trade and medical equipment of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology"

The conference is held in both direct and virtual mode, due to the COVID-19 situation

Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology is the nation's leading scientific and technological research institution. In recent years, VAST has focused on promoting cooperation with businesses to promote innovation in order to launch research activities associated with practice, solve challenges and improve business competitiveness and national status. Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology not only has a position in the scientific world, but also becomes a prestigious brand in the market. The products of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology have been trusted and used by consumers. VAST has been granted the Leading Award for Innovation in South Asia and Southeast Asia by the famous British organization Clarivate in 2020 and 2021.

This conference was held with a new approach. For the first time, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology changed the presentation of the product introduction in association with commercial goals in line with the interests of businesses and entrepreneurs. Within the framework of the workshop, there are 9 medical technology products selected to be introduced among many research products in the last 2 years, such as DECHOLES product that supports the treatment of atherosclerosis from active ingredients from natural sources; CAFETASO products supporting the treatment of kidney stones and gallstones from Vietnamese plants; LUMBROKINASE products supporting the treatment of anti-clotting blood vessels; preparations to support diabetes treatment from bitter melon and rhubarb; equipment for thermal massage - pharmaceutical therapy to restore muscle - bone - joint function; cold plasma equipment for dentists.

At the workshop, scientists and businesses had a frank exchange of products, technology, cost, and product development direction close to actual needs, serving society.

The workshop was lively and successful. The organization of technology commercialization promotion activities will contribute to the formation of scientific research products associated with reality, creating motivation for scientists to explore, create, and pursue products to the end. Accordingly, businesses can exchange directly with scientists, learn more about actual needs and development solutions; and at the same time, request scientists of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology to research and solve their practical needs.

This is also a stepping stone to create an innovation ecosystem, where managers - scientists - businesses "symbiotically" share and complement each other.
