The achievements of the journals in recent times not only affirm the autonomy and deep international integration of Vietnamese scientific journals but also create a strong and positive inspiration for the process of improving the quality to meet international standards of the domestic scientific publishing system. By 2022, 100% of the journals have completed the transition to publishing in English and strongly internationalized in all stages of the publishing process, creating a solid foundation to reach the world. In May 2025, Scopus updated the 2024 rankings, in which 03 journals ranked in Q2 are Vietnam Journal of Mathematics (VJM) - approaching Q1 with CiteScore 2.3, Vietnam Journal of Earth Sciences (VJES) with CiteScore of 4.0 and Advances in Natural Sciences: Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ANSN) with CiteScore of 3.3; The two journals ranked in Q3 are Vietnam Journal of Chemistry (VJC) with a CiteScore of 2.3 and Acta Mathematica Vietnamica (AMV) with a CiteScore of 0.7; the one journal ranked in Q4 is Vietnam Journal of Science and Technology (VJST) with a CiteScore of 0.6.
Along with that, the Workshop listened to the profound and passionate presentations of the Editors-in-Chief of the magazines and the experts. The presentations focused on analyzing successful magazine development models, while frankly pointing out the difficulties and challenges in terms of policy mechanisms, resources and competitive pressure in the context of integration. On that basis, the delegates discussed and proposed strategic and feasible solutions to continue improving the quality and reputation of the magazines.
