On November 12th 2014, the delegation worked with institutes under NASB, including the Institute of Technical Physics, the Institute of Nature Management, the Institute of Microorganisms, the Institute of Chemistry of New Materials and Organic Biochemistry. At the working session, President of NASB, Acad.Vladimir Gusakov, appreciated the achievements in science and technology cooperation, especially the establishment of the Vietnam – Belarus Research and Technology Development Center in the field of equipment and machine manufacturing, energy and chemicals to promote technology transfer and the commercialization of scientific research results.
Based on the establishment of the Vietnam – Belarus Center, units such as the Chemical Technology Center, High Technology and Scientific Equipment Laboratory and Cell Nanotechnology Laboratory, cooperated with Belarus and technology transfer projects such as the study on the application of Polyguanidin to treat flood waters to recover its clearness and the study and technology transfer of unmanned aerial vehicles.
In addition, collaborative activities between the two academies to implement bilateral international cooperation duties since 2008 have created opportunities for scientists from institutes to resume cooperation with Belarus partners, exchange experiences and solve important researching issues and announce studies on prestigious scientific journals. In the afternoon of November 14th, presidents of the two academies signed the minutes of the working session from November 11th to 14th 2014 of the delegation of VAST in the Republic of Belarus.

During the working visit in Belarus, the delegation and Vietnamese Embassy in the Republic of Belarus attended a meeting to elect Academician of NASB 2014. On behalf of the Presidium, Acad. Vladimir Gusakov, President of NASB, announced the election result. Three foreign scientists out of 20 candidates became members of NASB, including Prof. Anton Zellinger, President of the Austrian Academy of Sciences; Prof. Chau Van Minh, president of VAST, and Prof. Alexander Aseyev, Vice President of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Chairman of the Siberian Office of the Russian Academy of Sciences. This is the first time in nearly 15 years since March 2000, NASB has had additional three new foreign academicians. It means that so far there have been 13 foreign academicians.

In the afternoon of November 13th, Belarusian Premier, Mikhail Myasnikovich, met and congratulated Acad. Anton Zellinger, Acad. Chau Van Minh, and Acad. Alexander Aseyev. He appreciated the scientific cooperation programmes and projects between Belarusian scientists and Austrian, Vietnamese and Russian scientists.
