Work of women and commendation for emulation movement of women good at work and housework 2020 reviewed
The event drew the participation of Mr. Nguyen Van Dong, member of Executive Committee of Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, and Standing Vice Chairman of Vietnam Public Sector Union; and Ms. Nguyen Thi Hue, Chairwoman of VAST Trade Union.
VAST Trade Union consists of 55 affiliated unions in 3 regions, including North, Central and South, with 3 types: non-business units, administrative units and enterprises. Out of a total 2,378 civil servants and public employees, there are 964 female cadres (40.5%), of which 03 are Professors, 48 are Associate Professors, 303 are Doctors or Doctors of Science,399 are Masters and 244 are Graduates.
In 2020, VAST Trade Union and the Women's Union of affiliated trade unions have carried out practical movements and activities, in accordance with practical conditions, such as implementing the contest “Women for creative startups - successful connection”; presenting awards to outstanding students in the 2019-2020 school year; and co-organizing the second National Conference of Women Science. In 2020, one woman was appointed the title of Professor and two women were appointed as Associate Professors; one collective received the Kovalevskaia Prize.
The VAST Women's Unions of units mobilized female cadres to actively respond to emulation movements, campaigns, typically emulation movements of good at work and housework, women actively study, work creatively, build a happy family; and to encourage female cadres to overcome difficulties, study, work, actively update new knowledge, accumulate good experiences, promote initiatives, and improve work quality and efficiency.
The conference announced the commendation of 24 collectives and 57 individuals for being good at work and housework in 2020.
