Visit by Japan’s Osaka University delegation

The reception also drew the participation of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ninh Khac Ban, head of the Department of International Cooperation; representatives from the Department of Organization and Personnel, the Institute of Physics, the Institute of Marine Bio-Chemistry, the Institute of Materials Science, the Graduate University of Science and Technology, and the Vietnam National Satellite Centre.

President Minh welcomed the working visit by the Osaka University delegation at the academy. He hoped that through the visit, the cooperation would be promoted, especially in the field of training high technology experts and cadres.

The two sides both appreciated the cooperation results over the past years, and discussed the promotion of common cooperation in the future, including the proposal of establishing an Osaka representative office at the academy to carry out activities of ASEAN Campus – Osaka University; establishing common laboratories; promoting cooperation on photonics and laser technology; and promoting cooperation with the Graduate University of Science and Technology and several institutes under VAST on science and technology human resource training for Vietnam.

The delegation also worked with the Institute of Physics, the Institute of Marine Bio-Chemistry and the Institute of Materials Science.
