Vietnam attended the Plenipotentiary Representative Meeting of Dubna Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR)
This meeting aims to discuss building strategies and development plans for the next 7 years (2024-2030), with expected budget for 2024-2026. Vice Chairman Tran Tuan Anh proposed and the JINR Executive Board agreed to strengthen unified exchanges with Vietnam, initially with two meetings held in Vietnam in the coming months. The Vice President emphasized that JINR is a pioneering scientific organization of international stature, and Vietnam's desire is to make a meaningful contribution to JINR, while further building Vietnam's potential in basic research.

Previously on November 9, JINR's Finance Committee met and drafted a Joint Statement, in which the Vietnamese delegation lobbied for JINR to have more support for member countries. On November 11, 2023, the Vietnamese delegation attended the inauguration ceremony of the JINR information center at the Kazakhstan Institute of Nuclear Physics with a high-performance computing cluster and connections to other JINR information centers. Vice President Tran Tuan Anh also worked with Professor Abay Serikkanov, Vice President of the Kazakhstan Academy of Science and Technology, to promote cooperation.
