Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology Youth Union offers incense to Prof. Acad. Tran Dai Nghia
At the memorial area, Mr. Phan Ke Son, Secretary of VAST Youth Union and representatives of the cadres and youth union members from VAST, respectfully offered incense and showed their gratitude to Prof. Acad. Major General Tran Dai Nghia, the first chairman of Vietnam Academy of Sciences (now VAST), who has made great contributions to the cause of struggle, national liberation, and national reunification in the role of great scientist of the Vietnamese revolution, who laid the foundation for science and technology in the country.
In this activity, VAST Youth Union sent to the Memorial the photo taken on June 22, 1979 about Prof. Acad. Tran Dai Nghia - Chairman of the Vietnam Academy of Sciences and Academy's staff before departure for national defence. This was an opportunity for VAST youth to review the life and career of revolutionary activities of Prof. Acad. Tran Dai Nghia, demonstrating the principle of “remembering the source when drinking water”, teaching the revolutionary tradition for future generations to study and practice, contributing to the construction of VAST and the country.
This activity is part of a series of activities of VAST Youth Union towards the 50th anniversary of VAST establishment (May 20, 1975 – May 20, 2025).
