Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology Veterans Association summarizes work in 2023 and directions and tasks for 2024
Attending the Conference were Dr. Pham Tuan Huy, Permanent Deputy Secretary of VAST Party Committee; comrade Pham Thanh Son, Chairman of the VAST Veterans Association; representatives of VAST Trade Union and VAST Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; and members of the VAST Veterans’ Association.
VAST Veterans’ Association is an Association of Block 487 (Central Agencies Bloc) under the Central Vietnam Veterans Association. Although there are still many difficulties in operations due to the frequent fluctuations in the number of members, many branches do not have enough members according to regulations, in 2023, the VAST Veterans’ Association has achieved many remarkable results. The Association has united and operated in accordance with the Resolution of the 7th Congress of the Vietnam Veterans Association and the Resolution of the 4th Congress of VAST Veterans' Association.
The Association's Executive Committee at all levels maintains regular activities and regularly innovates the organization, activities and thoroughly educates members through both offline and online forms. The Association also regularly provides information to officials and members; Members of the Association have a strong ideological stance and are exemplary in successfully completing tasks according to assigned responsibilities, many of which have high achievements in work and scientific research, contributing to successful completion of tasks of agencies and units.

In 2023, the Association has organized many meaningful activities such as a march back to the source to visit the old battlefield, offering incense to commemorate fallen soldiers; Participation in the fundraising campaign to build great solidarity houses in the Northwest provinces launched by the Central Association; Develop and implement the criteria "Exemplary Veterans"; exchange with Associations in the Block to share and learn experiences; and coordinate with the Trade Union and Youth Union to respond to the VAST's patriotic emulation movements.
Regarding the direction and tasks in 2024, the Association continues to focus on well implementing the work of thoroughly understanding, teaching political and ideological, organizing and building the Association; Carrying out traditional educational activities and coordinating with the Trade Union and Youth Union to implement activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the VAST's founding.
The Association presented Certificates of Merit to groups and individuals with outstanding achievements in the "Exemplary Veterans" emulation movement in 2023; and guided the implementation of a number of organizational work contents of the Central Vietnam Veterans Association to its members.
