Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology sympathises with Japanese victims of earthquake and tsunami

On March 22nd, a delegation of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, led by Prof. Chau Van Minh, member of the Party Central Committee and President of the Academy, attended the ceremony to commemorate victims in the earthquake and tsunami held by the Japanese embassy. The delegation also included Dr. Ninh Khac Ban, head of Department for International Cooperation, Le Dinh Thao, chief of the office and president of the Academy’s Trade Union, and Nguyen Thi Hue, vice-president of the Academy’s Trade Union.
The Academy’s Trade Union donated 80,000,000 VND for the Fund for victims of earthquake and tsunami in Japan. On behalf of the Academy, Prof. Minh signed a book to commemorate victims. The Academy sent condolences to disaster victims and their families. Mr. Minh hoped that under the leadership of the government and through the solidarity of Japanese people, Japan would quickly overcome consequences caused by the disaster, stabilize people’s lives and continue the national reconstruction and development.
