Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology strengthens COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control

In implementation of Official Dispatch 541/CD-TTg dated April 23, 2021 of the Prime Minister on strengthening COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control, Notice 81/TB-VPCP dated April 26, 2021 of the Office of the Government on the conclusion of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at the Government’s meeting on COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control; with the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic in the world, especially in some neighboring countries sharing a border with our country, on April 28, 2021, the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology issued Directive 04/CT-VHL requesting heads of VAST units to direct:

Continuing to ask all officials, public employees and labourers to increase vigilance on the risk of the pandemic, absolutely not to be negligent, to raising awareness and responsibility for the health of the community and individuals; focusing on strictly, drastically and effectively implementing the existing pandemic prevention and control measures; proactively updating the pandemic situation in the country and the world, reviewing and carrying out the strict implementation of pandemic prevention and control measures within the scope of management to suit the actual situation and requirements.
Strictly complying with the 5K requirements of the Ministry of Health, especially the mandatory wearing of masks in public places, at events gathering a large number of people, and on public transport.
Regularly inspecting and urging the implementation of pandemic prevention and control measures in the unit and updating the results of implementation on the COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control map; strictly handling cases of violations of pandemic prevention and control.
Continuing to restrict events and activities with large numbers of people; in case of necessity for the event organization, the organizers shall be responsible to the VAST President for strictly complying with the requirements, conditions and measures on ensuring safety in terms of pandemic prevention and control.
Actively and closely coordinating with medical facilities in the locality where the units are headquartered in monitoring, supervising and updating the pandemic situation.
Heads of units, within the ambit of their assigned authority, are responsible for the pandemic prevention and control, and actively reporting to the VAST Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control in case of the pandemic- related situations.
