Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology Shares Its Confidence and Aspiration for the Development of Vietnamese Science with Prof. Tran Thanh Van

In a sincere and open atmosphere, Prof. Tran Thanh Van and Prof. Le Kim Ngoc shared their view that the foundation of science is built not only on facilities or investment resources, but first and foremost on trust among scientists, on faith in the younger generation, and on confidence in sound policy decisions that allow science to truly become the foundation and driving force of national development. The two professors expressed their delight at the major policies of the Party and the State on developing science, technology, innovation and digital transformation.

Responding to the two professors, President Tran Hong Thai affirmed that, in a context where science, technology and innovation lie at the centre of the national development strategy, VAST aspires to become a hub of intellectual convergence, connecting domestic scientists with the community of Vietnamese scientific intellectuals worldwide.

At the meeting, the two sides discussed cooperation directions between VAST and ICISE in the coming period, building on each side's strengths to connect domestic and international scientific communities; to jointly organise world-class scientific conferences; to promote interdisciplinary research programmes and the training of high-quality human resources; and to build a network of domestic and overseas experts serving the development of Viet Nam's strategic technology fields.

On this occasion, President Tran Hong Thai respectfully invited Prof. Tran Thanh Van and Prof. Le Kim Ngoc to join VAST's Expert Advisory Group. Their involvement is expected to provide valuable strategic advice, spread a spirit of dedication, and bring scientific achievements to bear effectively on the country's development.
