Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology’s youth organise extracurricular political activity at President Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum

The activity was led by the Youth Branch of the Office of the President of the Academy, in collaboration with the Youth Union of the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi, the Youth Branch of the Institute of Biology, the Youth Branch of the Vietnam National Museum of Nature, and the Youth Branch of the Centre for High Technology Research and Development.

Participating in the programme were, from the leadership of the Academy Office: Comrade Chu Thi Hoai Thu – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Chief of Office; and Comrade Nguyen Viet Gioi – President of the Trade Union of the Office. From the VAST Youth Union were Comrade Dang Quoc Dai – Member of the Inspection Committee of and Full-time Deputy Secretary of the Government Youth Union, Comrade Ha Ngoc Anh – Member of the Standing Committee, along with other Executive Committee members, representatives of affiliated youth branches, and outstanding youth union members.

During the activity, the young participants solemnly laid flowers and paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his Mausoleum, and watched valuable documentary films about his life and revolutionary career. The simple yet sacred images of Uncle Ho left a deep impression, reminding today’s younger generation to live with ideals, a sense of responsibility, and an aspiration to rise. The delegation also visited the Presidential Palace Historical Site, closely associated with Uncle Ho’s daily life and work, reinforcing the profound lessons drawn from his simple yet great life.

This extracurricular political activity aimed to honour the immense contributions of President Ho Chi Minh, while also serving as an opportunity for youth union members to exchange, learn, and enhance their political and ideological awareness. It instilled a strong sense of national pride, patriotism, and responsibility among the younger generation towards the cause of national development in the new era.

With the spirit of “Learning from Uncle Ho through the simplest acts, acting for the greatest causes,” the youth of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology are determined to continue spreading noble values and contributing to the sustainable development of the country – for a powerful and prosperous Vietnam.
