Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology's Trade Union summarizes the work of the first quarter and deploys the tasks of the second quarter of 2023

On April 11, 2023 in Hanoi, the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology held a Conference to review trade union work in the first quarter and implement tasks in the second quarter of 2023. Attending the conference were Dr. Pham Tuan Huy, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology; Comrade Tran Thi Kim Anh, Vice President of Vietnam Public Employees' Union; Ms. Pham Thi Thu Thuy, Deputy Head of the Department of Legal Policy and Labor Relations; 02 Vice Presidents of Trade Union of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, including Vice President Nghiem Ngoc Minh and Vice President Nguyen Thanh Tam; together with members of the Standing Committee, members of the Executive Committee of the VAST Trade Union; the comrades are the President, Vice President and part-time trade union officials of the affiliated units.

At the Conference, Vice President Nghiem Ngoc Minh presented a preliminary report on the work of the first quarter and key tasks of the second quarter of 2023. After listening to the report, the delegates focused on contributing ideas to the report and discussing the key work plan of the second quarter. In particular, the issues focusing on discussion such as organizing activities associated with the celebration of major national holidays such as Victory Day April 30, International Labor Day May 1, Science and Technology Day, Vietnam Technology May 18, President Ho Chi Minh's birthday May 19, the 48^thanniversary of the establishment of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology May 20, and the 8^th Academy's Trade Union Congress, term 2023-2028.

The conference awarded awards at the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Vietnam Public Employees' Union to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in 2022, including:

Awarded Certificate of Merit from Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to 01 collective (Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology's Trade Union) and 01 individual (Comrade Tran Thi Mai Huong, Deputy Chief of the Office of the Party Committee, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology);
Awarded Flags and Certificates of Merit from the Vietnam Public Employees' Union: 01 Emulation Flag (Union Office of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology) and awarding Certificates of Merit to 03 collectives (Trade Union of Hanoi University of Science and Technology), Union of Institute of Chemical Technology, Union of Institute of Ecology and Biological Resources) and 18 individuals.
