Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology’s Party Executive Committee, 2025–2030 tenure holds second meeting
The second meeting of the Party Executive Committee of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, 2025–2030 tenure
Comrade Chau Van Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Party Committee of the Government, and Secretary of the Party Committee of the Academy, chaired the conference. Attending the event were representatives from central Party bodies, including the Party Central Committee (PCC) Commission on Organisation, the PCC Commission on Popularization, Education and Mass Mobilizations, the PCC Commission on Inspection, the PCC Commission on Internal Affairs, and the Office of the Party Central Committee; along with members of the Party Executive Committee and the Party Inspection Committee of the Academy.
During the first nine months of 2025, both the nation as a whole and the Party Committee of the Academy focused on carrying out numerous important tasks. This year marked the organisation of Party congresses at all levels in preparation for the 14th National Party Congress, as well as the implementation of organisational restructuring in accordance with Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the 6th Plenum of the 12th Party Central Committee, titled “Some issues regarding the continued renovation and restructuring of the political system for greater efficiency and effectiveness.”

Following the direction of the Central Steering Committee and the Government Steering Committee, the Party Committee and the leadership of the Academy proactively and effectively implemented the restructuring and consolidation of the Party and administrative apparatus within the VAST Party Committee. They also directed the organisation of Party congresses at all levels in accordance with Directive 45-CT/TW dated April 14, 2025 of the Politburo and Plan 07-KH/DU dated April 29, 2025 of the Government Party Committee on organising Party congresses at all levels towards the 1st Congress of the Government Party Committee, 2025–2030 tenure. By the end of July 2025, with the consent of the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee, the 9th Congress of the VAST Party Committee was successfully held. These results reflected the dedication and effort of all Party organisations under the leadership of the Executive Committee.
The conference announced decisions on the ratification and appointment of members of the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary and Deputy Secretaries of the Party Committee, and members, Chair, and Vice Chair of the Inspection Committee of the VAST Party Committee for the 2025–2030 tenure. The conference also focused on discussion, exchange, and consensus on the following main contents:
1. The preliminary report on the Party Committee’s work over the first nine months and key tasks for the last three months of 2025.
2. The preliminary report on inspection, supervision, and Party discipline work for the first nine months and key tasks for the remaining three months of 2025 by the Academy’s Party Committee and its Inspection Committee.
3. A Resolution of the Executive Committee of the VAST Party Committee titled “On strengthening the Party’s leadership over the activities of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Veterans Association of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology in the new situation.”
4. Review and feedback on the programme, plan, and agenda of the 2025 training conference on Party work operations within the VAST Party Committee.

In his closing remarks, on behalf of the Standing Committee and the leadership of the Academy, Comrade Chau Van Minh expressed sincere appreciation to members of the Executive Committee for their unity, efforts, and determination in effectively implementing the assigned tasks under the leadership of the Standing Committee. He also extended his gratitude to representatives from central Party bodies and the Office of the Party Central Committee for their consistent support, guidance, and assistance to the Party Committee of the Academy in recent times—particularly in successfully organising the 9th Congress of the VAST Party Committee for the 2025–2030 tenure. He expressed his hope that such attention and support would continue in the future.

To effectively implement the key tasks for the final quarter of 2025, Comrade Chau Van Minh requested members of the Executive Committee to, based on their assigned duties, concretise their work plans and enhance supervision and guidance to ensure progress. He urged focused leadership and direction to review the 2025 political tasks of each agency and unit to achieve the highest possible efficiency. The Party Committee should continue: developing projects to be submitted to the Politburo and Secretariat under the 2025 Working Programme; preparing thoroughly for year-end review conferences of the administration, the Party, the Youth Union, and the Veterans Association; evaluating and commending Party organisations, Party members, and officials; and conducting collective and individual self-assessment conferences. He also emphasised the importance of preparations for the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, and the successful organisation of the Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union scheduled for October 2025 and the Congress of the Veterans Association scheduled for late December 2025, marking the 20th anniversary of its founding.
