Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology receives delegation from the Republic of Turkmenistan

On June 29, 2022, the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) had a working session with the delegation of the Republic of Turkmenistan led by Mr. Mezilov Gurbanmyrat, Rector of Oguz Khan University of Engineering and Technology.

Prof. Chu Hoang Ha, VAST Vice President; Dr. Le Quynh Lien, Head of the International Cooperation Department, and representatives of a number of specialized research institutes received the delegation.

The overview of the working session

In the context that Vietnam and Turkmenistan are carrying out activities to celebrate the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations, the working session between VAST and the delegation from the Republic of Turkmenistan is an opportunity for the two sides to exchange ideas, share experiences, as a premise for cooperation development in the future.

After listening to the two sides’ introduction of the main research directions and some outstanding research results over the past time, the two sides exchanged, discussed and proposed contents of cooperation in science and technology, education and training such as research experience, exchange of scientists, lecturers and students; especially in the fields of interest and strength of the two sides such as biotechnology, nanotechnology, materials technology, digital technology and smart technology.

The two sides also agreed to exchange information, build a memorandum of understanding, towards a long-term cooperation relationship and develop together.
