Overview of the meeting

At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Le Truong Giang emphasized that VAST and ADS have successfully cooperated in Vietnam's first Earth observation satellite project: VNREDSat-1 effectively operating in orbit for more than 10 years, double its designed lifespan. Prof. Dr. Le Truong Giang expressed his hope that ADS will continue to support VAST in effectively operating and exploiting VNREDSat-1 satellite, and hoped that in the coming time, the two sides will continue to coordinate to promote the construction of the next satellite project to ensure the continuity of data sources, at the same time, inheriting human resources, infrastructure and cooperation results achieved between the two sides.

Mr. Bruno Parenti shared with Vice President Le Truong Giang about the existing capacity of ADS and the potential to support Vietnam and VAST to build and develop satellite projects in the future. Mr. Bruno Parenti proposed that the two sides could jointly update technical issues, share, discuss and evaluate Vietnam's satellite development requirements at in-depth seminars.

At the end of the meeting, both sides hoped to soon find new cooperation opportunities for the satellite project, contributing to strengthening the long-term cooperation relationship between VAST and ADS and between Vietnam and France.
