Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology continues supporting people affected by Typhoon No. 3 (Yagi)

Responding to the call of Party General Secretary and State President To Lam and the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and in the spirit of solidarity to aid those in areas affected by Typhoon No. 3, Associate Professor Dr. Tran Tuan Anh, Member of the Party Committee of the Central Agencies Bloc and Vice President of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST), on behalf of VAST’s staff and employees, contributed VND400,000,000 (four hundred million dong) to support affected people on October 21, 2024, at the Central Committee Office of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Earlier, on September 10, 2024, VAST donated VND100,000,000 (one hundred million dong) during the donation ceremony organized by the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for those impacted by Typhoon No. 3. On September 11, 2024, VAST’s leadership and union also launched a campaign encouraging all staff and members of the Academy’s union to contribute at least one day’s salary to support affected people and other charitable social funds.
