Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology attended seminar "Application of Science and Technology advances to promote socio-economic development in mountainous rural areas and new rural construction in Quang Nam province"
Attending the Seminar were more than 70 delegates who were representatives of leaders of relevant departments, agencies, People's Committees and specialized departments of districts, towns and cities; former leaders of the Department of Science and Technology over the years, representatives of leaders of Da Nang University of Science and Technology, Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry, Mien Trung Institute For Scientific Research - Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology , Quang Nam University, Medical College of Quang Nam, scientists, researchers from universities, research institutes, organizations and cooperatives participating in the implementation of transfer and application projects S&T. Mr. Ho Quang Buu, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, attended and delivered a speech.
Mr. Ho Quang Buu highly appreciated the efforts of the Department of Science and Technology as well as the Science and Technology sector of Quang Nam province over the past time; especially the initial results in the organization, management and implementation of activities of applying advances in Science and Technology in practice; Mr. Ho Quang Buu requested the Department of Science and Technology to continue promoting and well organize the activity of replicating the application model in the coming time. In addition, it is suggested that the Department of Science and Technology strengthen cooperation with other departments and branches in the province in transferring and applying scientific and technological advances, contributing to the socio-economic development process; focus on organizing the effective implementation of Decision 100/QD-TTg dated January 19, 2019 of the Prime Minister approving the Scheme on implementation, application and management of the traceability system; enhance learning and experience to organize effective and practical implementation of digital transformation activities.
Dr. Vu Thi Thu Lan - Deputy Head of Application and Deployment of Technology Department, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, highly appreciated the scientific and technological cooperation between the People's Committee of Quang Nam province and the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology in the field of science and technology. Over the past 15 years, scientific and technological cooperation projects stemming from the practical requirements of the province, on the basis of basic scientific research results of the Academy, have had encouraging results for the development of Vietnam, ensuring national security in the context of climate change such as warning systems for natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods, saltwater intrusion, application of green - clean technology, development of medicinal plants, etc. data, in order to reduce poverty in rural mountainous areas. In the future, it is necessary to further promote science and technology cooperation, renew the method of building long-term science and technology tasks, linking scientists and enterprises to complete technological products for replication in practice; actively connect investors - businesses - scientists - people in the field of agriculture in many forms; supporting the improvement of high-quality science and technology human resources.
