Two young scientists from Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology receive 2025 Golden Globe Science and Technology Award

In 2025, two young scientists from Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) were honoured with the Golden Globe Science and Technology Award. They are Dr Dang Thi Le Hang, Deputy Head of the Department of Biomedical Materials Technology, Institute of Advanced Technology (in the field of Biotechnology), and MSc Nguyen Ba Manh, Researcher at the Institute of Chemistry (in the field of New Materials Technology).

From 96 applications submitted through the online registration system by 41 agencies, organisations, universities, research institutes, enterprises across the country, as well as the Vietnamese Embassies, Youth and Student Associations abroad, the Award Council of the Golden Globe Science and Technology Award selected 10 outstanding young talents for 2025. The awards recognise excellence in the following fields: Information Technology, Digital Transformation and Automation (3 individuals); Medical and Pharmaceutical Technology (2 individuals); Biotechnology (1 individual); Environmental Technology (2 individuals); and New Materials Technology (2 individuals).

The young scientists honoured this year focus their research on addressing global and national challenges related to climate change, human health, and sustainable development. Their achievements represent practical steps towards realising Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology, innovation, and national digital transformation, aiming to build a green, smart, and sustainable Vietnam in the new era.
