Training on digital transformation and ensuring information safety and security in 2022 at Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology
In order to strongly promote the universalization of digital skills and ensure information safety and security, the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) assigned the Center for Informatics and Computing to perform the task of "Developing Digital Government/Digital Government and ensuring cyberinformation security in 2022", including organizing 02 Conferences: Training conference on digital transformation with the theme "Effective use of information system for VAST units” and the Conference “Training on information safety and security for VAST officials, public servants and labourers”. This is also an activity in the series of events to organize activities to respond to the National Digital Transformation Day 2022 (October 10, 2022) at the VAST, with the theme for 2022 "Digital transformation for the cause of science and technology and for a better life”. The training conference took place in 3 days from October 5-7, 2022 in both face-to-face and online formats.
The training conference on digital transformation with the theme: "Effective use of information system for VAST units” took place in 2 days on October 5-6, 2022, with the goal of improving the skills of using information systems for officials, employees and labourers serving digital transformation at the VAST. The conference was held online, attracting the participation of 274 officials who are leaders, specialists of specialized units that assist work for the VAST President, and leaders and officers from VAST units; individuals who digitally sign documents on the Operating and Document Management System (VAST-Office); and individuals using the VAST-Office System and the VAST email system.

At the training conference, a reporter of the Center for Informatics and Computing presented and guided the main contents: Digitally signing electronic documents on the document management and operating system; Process of dealing with electronic documents on the document management system and operating system; Information security when using email. During the conference, the participating officials exchanged and discussed handling of situations that occurred when using digital signatures and electronic mail systems, and received answers to issues on practical use of information systems at the VAST. In addition, the Center for Informatics and Computation has also set up an Information Channel: "Academy Digital Technology Network" with an address at https://zalo.me/g/ywsvzi001 for technical support to help units use the VAST information systems fluently.
The conference “Training on information safety and security for VAST officials, public servants and labourers” was held on October 7, 2022 in both face-to-face and online. The conference aimed to equip staff with some basic skills to help ensure the safety and security of information, sources and personal data, and at the same time, carry out propaganda and contribute to raising awareness of the public.

At the Conference, a reporter of the Center for Informatics and Computing conveyed and guided the main contents in terms of awareness of cyberinformation security; malware and some basic prevention measures; information security on social networks; secure user data. Within the framework of the training program, the participants and the reporter had a lively discussion and interaction with the knowledge disseminated through the question-answer activity, helping to increase the excitement of the delegates.

Through the training conference, the participants had the opportunity to equip themselves with more knowledge and raise awareness of information security, in order to avoid the risks of information insecurity and cyber insecurity at VAST units. In addition, the conference also highlighted VAST-Cloud, a cloud storage system, an online data storage solution of the VAST built and operated by the Center for Informatics and Computing since 2014 (access system at address https://cloud.vast.vn). In addition, the delegates were also guided on a number of ways to enhance data security in the Internet environment; creating a foundation for building and developing e-Government/Digital Government at the VAST.
