Attending conference were Phan Ke Son, Secretary of the VAST Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; Le Thi Tam, Member of the Executive Committee of the Quang Binh Provincial Youth Union, Deputy Head of the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee Commission on Popularization and Education; Nguyen Thi Kieu Trang, Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of Dong Hoi City; and comrades, members of the Executive Committee, members of the Inspection Committee of the VAST, and key cadres of the Youth Union of the branches of the VAST Youth Unio in the northern and southern areas.

At the Conference, key cadres of the Youth Union were equipped and shared about the professional skills of the Union's work, raising awareness of the Party's and the Union's revolutionary ideals, contributing to the successful implementation of their duties.

Journey to the source 2022 was aimed at marking the 75th anniversary of the Day for Wounded Soldiers and Martyrs (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2022), through practical activities such as offering incense to the grave of General Vo Nguyen Giap, the Special National Historical Site Dong Loc T-junction, Truong Son Cemetery, Road 9 Cemetery; visiting the historical sites of Tam Co Cave, Tra Ang Bridge, 20 Quyet Thang Road and Hien Luong Bridge, educating politics, mutual understanding, patriotism and gratitude for the young generation of scientists of the VAST.

During extra-curricular political activities, Union officials representing youth union members throughout the VAST performed volunteer activities at the Center for Education of Children with Disabilities and Special Circumstances in Quang Trach District, Quang Ninh Province. The Youth Union gave the Center VND30 million in cash, 1,000 notebooks and many school supplies, especially the Youth Union gave gifts to 23 children with extremely difficult circumstances at the Center. These showed the sharing by the VAST Youth Union with the students and teachers at the Center.
