Trade union training conference in 2024
Attending the conference were comrade Nguyen Van Dong - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Public Sector Union; Comrade Duong Viet Doan - Deputy Chief of the Office of the Vietnam Public Sector Union; Dr. Pham Tuan Huy - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the VAST Party Committee; Comrade Nguyen Thi Hue - Member of the VAST Party Executive Committee, President of the VAST Trade Union; with the Vice Presidents, Members of the Standing Board of the VAST Party Committee, Members of the VAST Party Executive Committee, Member of the VAST Trade Union Inspection Committee, comrades who are Presidents, Vice Presidents and part-time officials of unions affiliated to the VAST Trade Union.
This was the first training session on trade union work for the 2023-2028 term, an opportunity for trade union officials to gain more knowledge and experience, contributing to creating unity, consensus and successful completion of assigned tasks, creating development motivation for affiliated units and the VAST.
Speaking at the Conference, Dr. Pham Tuan Huy - Permanent Deputy Secretary of VAST Party Committee, emphasized that to meet the requirements in the new period, the Trade Union needs to have creative forms of activities suitable to the characteristics of the Academy, in order to promote and encourage all officials and employees to perform political tasks well, actively and enthusiastically promote scientific research, train high-quality human resources and apply technology to production and export. The trade union must be the center to gather and unite officials and employees, mastering policies and regulations for proposal to give advice to build and develop the unit.
The conference heard comrade Nguyen Van Dong, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Public Sector Union, presented a topic on some skills and methods of union operations in the new situation; exchange and discuss the draft report summarizing the work of the first quarter and the key tasks of the work of the second quarter of 2024 of the VAST Trade Union.
Within the framework of the conference, 04 individuals from the VAST Trade Union were awarded the Face of the Year Award 2023. This is an award given by the Vietnam Public Sector Union to individuals, officers, civil servants and public employees. The employee is a union member of the Vietnam Public Employees Trade Union, with outstanding and typical achievements in labor, production, union activities and in social life. Comrade Nguyen Van Dong awarded Certificates of Merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in 2023; and Certificate of Merit from the Vietnam Public Sector Union for collectives and individuals who achieve outstanding achievements in the emulation movement to build strong trade union agencies and organizations in 2023.
