The 2022 East Sea International Science Conference "Century of Marine Science and Technology for the Future of the Ocean"
The conference received strong attention from domestic and foreign scientists. There were more than 170 delegates participating in the conference, of which more than 150 domestic delegates came from research institutes, universities, management agencies and businesses related to marine science and technology, 20 international delegates from strong marine research agencies and units in the world, important and long-term partners of the Institute of Oceanography such as the Scripps Institute of Oceanography (US), the Australian Institute of Marine Science, the University of Tokyo (Japan), the University of Malaya (Malaysia), the University of Copenhagen (Denmark), and the Leibniz Center for Tropical Marine Research and the Botanical Institute, Leibniz University-Hannover (Germany).
At the Conference, the scientists presented 103 reports (58 reports presented in the conference hall and 45 poster reports) in 6 subcommittees of the Conference. The reports focused on research results on marine science and technology achieved in recent years, challenges in the development, conservation, restoration and sustainable use of marine ecosystems and resources, and marine environment for the future of the ocean and the challenges of marine research human resources.
With the attention and direction of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, the scientific organization method of the leaders of the Institute of Oceanography, of the Conference Organizing Committee, the attention of scientists, management , domestic and foreign enterprises, the 2022 East Sea International Scientific Conference was a great success, contributing to the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Institute of Oceanography (September 14, 1922 - September 14, 2022).
