Overview of the Conference 

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Mr. Pham Tuan Huy, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Academy, said: The conference summarizes the implementation of Conclusion 01-KL/TW in order to recognize and objectively evaluate the results. implementation of Conclusion 01 in the past time. Along with that, exchange valuable experiences, good and creative ways in studying and following Uncle Ho, from which, set out tasks and solutions in the next time. The conference is also an opportunity to recognize and praise typical advanced collectives and individuals in the period of 2021 - 2023, in order to strongly spread the example of typical collectives and individuals.

In order to make studying and following Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and style a regular, routine, and motivating force to promote the VAST's political tasks, he suggested the Party committees at all levels, agencies and units seriously overcome the shortcomings and limitations; continue to perform synchronously and comprehensively all tasks and practical solutions, focusing on key tasks according to assigned functions and tasks.

Preliminary report on the implementation of Conclusion 01-KL/TW, Mr. Nguyen Hoai Nam, Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Propaganda Department of VAST Party Committee, said: VAST's Party Committees and committees at all levels have been properly and deeply aware of and focused on leading, directing and strictly implementing Conclusion 01-KL/TW, focusing on organizing learning, mastering, building plans and action programs implement the conclusions of collectives and individuals, especially heads of Party committees, agencies and units.

Awareness of cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees and employees is enhanced, especially awareness of the meaning, importance, role and impact of continuing to promote learning and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style.

VAST Party Committee has closely combined the implementation of Conclusion 01-KL/TW with the implementation of Regulation 101-QD/TW dated July 6, 2012 of the Secretariat on the responsibilities of stating the following: model and Regulation 08-QDi/TW dated October 25, 2018 of the Central Committee on the responsibility of setting an example of cadres and party members. Thereby, contributing to strengthening the Party building and rectification, building a clean and strong Party in politics, ideology, morality and organization; prevent and reverse the deterioration of political ideology, morality, lifestyle and internal "self-evolution" and "self-transformation" expressions; and anti-corruption, waste, and bureaucracy.

Besides the achieved results, the implementation of Conclusion 01-KL/TW of the VAST Party Committee also has some limitations. Accordingly, the implementation of the plan to follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style in some party organizations is still slow, the content to follow needs to be more suitable to the actual situation of the unit; The concretization of thematic content by year in some party organizations is not really creative; the content and part of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style are not rich; The propaganda work on Conclusion 01-KL/TW and the results of its implementation. The initial conclusion has gained wide spread, in the coming time, it is also necessary to focus deeply on the topic of propagating collective examples. and typical individuals in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and style.

Since the limitations and causes are frankly acknowledged, the preliminary report also draws lessons learned after more than two years of implementing Conclusion 01-KL/TW of the Politburo. At the same time, it also proposed the tasks and solutions of the VAST Party Committee to continue to well implement Conclusion 01-KL/TW in the coming time.

Within the framework of the Conference, VAST Party Committee also awarded the Certificate of Merit from the Party Committee of the Central Agencies to the Branch of the Institute of Tropical Biology for "Excellent achievements in studying and following ideology, Ho Chi Minh's ethics and style for the period 2021-2023" and awarded the Certificate of Merit from the President of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology to 03 collectives and 09 individuals who had excellent achievements in "Learning" and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style in the period of 2021-2023".
