Space scientific and technological program
On March 26, the head board of the space scientific and technological program held a conference to collect ideas to draft the target and content, and schedule the production of the program (in the 2011-2015 period) with the participation of representatives from related ministries and agencies, such as: the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Information and Communication, the Ministry of Education and Training, and representatives from agencies that have projects being carried out in the space scientific and technological program, such as: the Academy of Military Science and Technology, the Institute of Space Technology, the National Remote Sensing Center, the Institute of Information and Technology, the Institute of Geophysics, the Academy of Military Technology, the Institute of Biological Technology, the Institute of Materials Science, the International Maritime and Law Center under the Hanoi National University.
From now until 2020, the space scientific and technological program looks forward to 3 general targets, including efficiently applying advanced space scientific and technological achievements to serve the national socio-economic and security and national defence development; studying to master small satellite technology observing the Earth and technology to launch small satellites into low orbit; and making contributions to the building of technical facilities and the training of key cadres who are capable of acquiring and developing the orientations of the space scientific and technological sector.
The head board of the program expects that in the 2010-2015 period, the program will announce some main scientific and technological products such as the national remote sensing database which is added with picture database VNREDSat-1; applied results of VNREDSat-1; rocket model; legal documents on space technology under laws, decrees; and some software relating to space technology and articles published in scientific magazines.
On 2 April 2010, the signing ceremony of the agreement on the implementation of the theme under the 2010 space scientific and technological program took place with the presence of the program’s head board and representatives from relevant agencies.
