Some remarkable results of Vietnam Journal of Chemistry in 2022 and the first 4 months of 2023
The results showed that the number of articles submitted in 2022 increased by 7% compared to 2021. Thanks to the improvement of the process, the average review time has been reduced from 101 days to 91 days, and the acceptance rate is 49.1%, an increase of 12% compared to 2021. In order to shorten the waiting time for publication, from June 2022, the Journal has officially entered the form of early publication (Early View), so the waiting time for publication has been reduced from 240 days to 205 days from the date of authoring. In 2022, the number of articles by Vietnamese authors accounted for about 55%, the number of articles published from countries such as India, Egypt, etc. also gradually increased over time. Meanwhile, the percentage of scientists from other countries interested in the Journal has changed significantly, such as India accounted for 33%, Vietnam was 25%, Indonesia was 14%, the US and China were both 8%. Therefore, in 2022, the Journal will receive the attention of 5,507 research institutes, universities and other research institutions around the world.
According to the summary of Research.com channel, up to now, the Journal has published 09 excellent works of 05 world famous scientists such as: Professor Valery M. In the first 4 months of 2023, the Journal received 158 manuscripts from domestic and foreign scientists, the rate of manuscripts being accepted for publication was estimated at about 38%. To control the input quality of manuscripts, in 2023, the Journal is planning to participate in the Research Exchange (ReX) system. Participating in this system will help authors closely and systematically control the necessary information before submitting articles to the Journal's system. At the same time, to improve the review waiting time, the Journal is considering reducing the review time from 4 weeks to 2-3 weeks for the first round of reviews.
With the active contributions of scientists, the tireless efforts of the Editorial Board and the Journal's personnel, as well as the effective support of colleagues of Wiley-VCH Publishing House (Germany), currently, the Journal has a Research Impact Score of 0.5, Citescore of 0.5, Research ranking of 10037, H-index 7 and Q3 group according to Scimago classification.
With such positive results, it is hoped that in the near future the Journal will receive better articles from domestic and foreign scientists. It is also a decisive factor to improve the quality and position of the Journal in international assessment.
