Signing ceremony of Memorandum of Understanding on application and development of technology

The signing of the MoU aimed to discuss plans of cooperation in bioactive substances from plants, microorganisms and marine creatures of Vietnamese nature in order to standardize production and inspect the quality of new drug products and existing dietary supplement.
The two sides will study and select suitable plans of cooperation to carry out the building of "Laboratory on analysis of services and screening” between Hanel, BDS and VAST. Accordingly, BDS will provide the technology and know-how to build the laboratory while VAST and Hanel will choose the place to build the laboratory which satisfies targets for research of development and operation; VAST will provide researchers from the academy"s human resources and HANEL will provide capital and its business knowledge on the Vietnamese market; BE-BASIC will provide the environment for research of development as well as capital for the collaborative research programs.
Speaking during the ceremony, the Ambassador appreciated the results that the academy had achieved over the past years and in this cooperative relationship. She said that the academy has an important role in the cooperation as the cooperation between scientific and technological research institutions and the businesses is a key to the successful development of a biotechnology-based economy, and this is the reality that has been tested in the Netherlands.
