Signing ceremony of Memorandum of Understanding of project on doctorate training cooperation between the Institute of Biotechnology, College of Natural Sciences, College of Technology and Greifswald University (Federal Republic of Germany)

The project on doctorate training cooperation between the Institute of Biotechnology (the Vietnam Academy of Sciences and Technology),  College of Natural Sciences (Vietnam National University, Hanoi), and Greifswald University (Federal Republic of Germany) (JGEP in short) from 2002 to 2010 sent 80 postgraduates  to the Federal Republic of Germany. Over 70% of them graduated with excellent and good certificates. A multitude of scientific research was printed in prestigious international scientific magazines.

On September 15th 2010, the Greifswald University held a ceremony to sign a memorandum of understanding on doctorate training until 2014 with Vietnamese partners, including the Institute of Biotechnology, the College of Natural Sciences, and the College of Technology, to strengthen the cooperation on scientific and technological human resources with Vietnam. The event was witnessed by Mr. Erwin Sellering, governor of Mecklenburg Vor Pomern state, and Prof. Chau Van Minh, President of the Vietnam Academy of Sciences and Technology, as well as representatives from partners and the Department for International Cooperation under the Vietnam Academy of Sciences and Technology. Thanks to this programme, Vietnam will select 10 people to the Greifswald University for postgraduate training in 10 different fields, including biomedicine and nanotechnology.
