Seven new species of beetle in northern Vietnam announced
The new species of beetle belongs to Coomaniella Bourgoin genus, 1924, Buprestidae family, Coleoptera. It has scientific names such as Coomaniella lingafelteri Jendek & Pham, 2013; Coomaniella tarsalis Jendek & Pham, 2013; Coomaniella communis Jendek & Pham, 2013; Coomaniella copipes Jendek & Pham, 2013; Coomaniella calcarata Jendek & Pham, 2013; Coomaniella simulatrix Jendek & Pham, 2013; Coomaniella brevicornis Jendek & Pham, 2013.
The Coomaniella lingafelteri Jendek & Pham, 2013, belongs to Kubani genus with characteristic of yellow soil very long antennae. This is different from the Coomaniella kubani because all the toes are iridescent while the C. Kubani is pale yellow. The new species differs from the C. bicolor Jendek & Kalashian, 1999 by the colour and morphology of the swelling tube internodes.
The Coomaniella tarsalis Jendek & Pham, 2013 belongs to Chinensis species, which has no prickle on the first toe of front leg. This species is coloured in the first toe of the front and middle legs.
The Coomaniella communis Jendek & Pham, 2013 belong to Chinensis species. The first toe of the front leg of the male has no prickle on the outer edge. This new species is close to the C. Chinensis.

The Coomaniella copipes Jendek & Pham, 2013 belongs to Macropus species. The first toe of the front leg of the male has prickle on the outer edge. This new species is close to the C. calcarata and the C. simulatrix in the male morphology from its back and the first toe of the middle leg.
The Coomaniella calcarata Jendek & Pham, 2013 is very similar to the C. copipes và the C. Simulatrix in the male morphology from its back and the first toe of the middle leg.
The Coomaniella calcarata Jendek & Pham, 2013 is very similar to the C. copipes và the C. Simulatrix in the male morphology from its back and the first toe of the middle leg. This species is distinguished form the two species by colour of pronotum and morphology pf the first toe of the middle leg.

The Coomaniella brevicornis Jendek & Pham, 2013 belongs to Strabaniella genus. The male of this species has the following characteristics: pronotum and the side of the front wing is orange, pronotum of the largest part is narrower than the largest part of the front wing. The pronotum’s side is rather curved. The first toe of the middle leg is slightly inflated. The front wing’s point is quite curved.
The Coomaniella brevicornis Jendek & Pham, 2013: 12 (male), 13 (female)
The specimen of seven new species was collected by scientists in northern Vietnam in April and May, 2012. A detailed description of these species was printed in Bonn zoological Bulletin 62 (1): 111–123.
With additional description on the above seven new species, the total of species belonging to Coomaniella genus is 31 species. 19 of them were recorded to distribute n Vietnam.
