New results of Scientific Journals in all fields are evaluated and published by Scopus and Web of Science (WoS) in early May and June each year, respectively. Scopus information published by Elservier Publishing House can be easily looked up on their website, but for the Clarivate database (Web of Science), only people with their own accounts can look up. Furthermore, the results of Scopus are always higher than the results of Web of Science, because for WoS this system only counts, evaluates and compares journals cited in the WoS system,, while for Scopus journals are tallied from the databases of many citation systems such as Scopus, WoS. Accordingly, the results of six journals under Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology have been recognized by WoS, Scopus announced in early May and June 2024 as follows:

1. Advances in Natural Science: Nanoscience and Nanotechnology -IF 1.7; CiteScore 3.8. The average time from receiving the article to receiving the results of round 1 review is 25 days. The journal is rated by Scimago as a Q2 journal, H-index 62.

The latest results just published show that most magazines have a steady upward trend. According to this latest calculation, there is no difference between the emerging journals - ECSI (achieving 24/28 criteria) and the journals that have satisfied 28/28 criteria (SCIE). From 2023, WoS will add criteria for evaluating journals in this system such as calculating the ratio or hierarchy between a specific journal compared to journals in the same field. From 2024, there will be an important change in evaluation and review procedures: publishers/magazines/publishing organizations will not actively register for review from ESCI to SCIE like before. This review step will be conducted by Clarivate's own team of employees. Also from 2024, publishers will only be able to register to have their journals approved for ESCI. Currently, Clarivate still maintains four versions of evaluating and ranking journals: SCIE, SSCI, AHCI and ESCI.

Currently, Vietnam has 15 journals indexed in the databases of two prestigious citation systems, WoS and Scopus, and the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology has six journals. Hanoi National University has one magazine; City National University. Ho Chi Minh has two magazines; Duy Tan University has two magazines; Ton Duc Thang University has one magazine; Hanoi National Economics University has one magazine; Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics has one magazine; Nguyen Tat Thanh University has one magazine.
