Overview of the workshop

Attending the Workshop, on the side of VAST, there were also Mr. Trinh Thanh Giang - Consulting expert of the President of VAST; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Tien Dung - Head of the Technology Application and Deployment Department; MSc. Le Sy Tung - Chief of the Office of VAST; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Van Manh - Director of the Institute of Science, Technology, Energy and Environment; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Truong Thang - Director of the Institute of Information Technology; Prof. Dr. Tran Dai Lam - Director of the Institute of Materials Science; Dr. Lai Hop Phong - Deputy Director of the Institute of Earth Sciences.

On the side of Sunjin Vietnam Company, there was Mr. Tran Nguyen Quang - General Director of Sunjin Vietnam Joint Venture Company; and representatives of the leaders of the companies including: ArchiVina Consulting Joint Stock Company; INNO Joint Stock Company; Viet Architecture Joint Stock Company; CDC Construction Joint Stock Company; Sunis Interior Solutions Joint Stock Company; Lumi Vietnam Joint Stock Company.

Prof. Dr. Tran Tuan Anh said that in order to implement Resolution 57, contributing to the implementation of Resolution 68 of the Government, VAST is currently developing a Project for the development of VAST with many contents, including a master plan on facilities and laboratories meeting international standards for VAST with many different technical requirements on architectural works and designs for scientific research and technology deployment in different specialized fields such as analytical research, technology such as new materials, energy and environmental technology, information technology... as well as training blocks, technology application - deployment blocks,... Therefore, this Workshop is the initial platform for scientists and design - architecture - construction consultants and investors to exchange and share necessary information for the development of a suitable master plan for VAST, in which the projects meet the requirements of modernization according to international standards, meeting the criteria Green, smart, user-friendly and environmentally friendly architecture, energy-saving, suitable for scientific research needs of each specialized field.

In addition to the overall infrastructure planning content of the entire VAST, VAST scientists and the group of designers - architects - builders shared information and exchanged cooperation in the application of technologies created by VAST's scientists such as: in the field of new materials for construction (fireproof paint, soundproofing, anti-corrosion materials and special materials for construction works); using solar energy, geothermal energy, smart lighting; applying artificial intelligence in the design and operation of smart home and smart city projects; in the field of Earth Sciences, geological and geotechnical solutions for construction works, underground space planning, etc.

Representing Sunjin Vietnam Joint Venture Company, Mr. Tran Nguyen Quang - General Director expressed his joy when scientists from VAST and the design - architecture - construction consultants found a common voice and opened up many opportunities for cooperation during the discussion at the Workshop. He hoped that through the cooperation between the two sides, many construction projects would apply products from the research results of Vietnamese scientists, which would make the projects truly carry the cultural identity of Vietnam and the design - architecture - construction consultants would become a channel to promote scientific research products to the outside.

Concluding the Workshop, Prof. Dr. Tran Tuan Anh emphasized the need to expand exchanges between the two sides; assign the Institute Office as the common focal point to provide information to design - architecture - construction consultants; assign the Technology Application and Deployment Board as the focal point for expertise and research on cooperation and technology transfer plans; In addition, the two sides will jointly research and develop a plan for the competition to design the overall infrastructure planning for VAST.
