Science and technology cooperation between VAST and MOST

On April 27th, a ceremony on signing an agreement on science and technology cooperation between the Centre for Training, Consultancy and Technology Transfer under Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST), and the State Agency for Technology Innovation under the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) took place in Hanoi on April 27th.


The event was witnessed by Prof. Dr. Chau Van Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, secretary of VAST Party Committee and VAST President, and representatives from both sides.


Over the past years, the Centre for Training, Consultancy and Technology Transfer under VAST and the State Agency for Technology Innovation under MOST have discussed principles and contents to cooperate in science and technology, as well as measures to develop technology markets, and scientific and technological services; to conduct a survey and assessed technology applications and transfers, and technology innovation; and to carry out professional training courses.

The two sides aim to attract and promote the best human resources in science and technology, improve the qualifications for professional cadres, and share information and experiences in organizing and managing science and technology, to implement assigned science and technology tasks.

Addressing at the ceremony, Nguyen Thanh Khoi, director of Centre for Training, Consultancy and Technology Transfer, said that technology transfer activity was a key focus as VAST worked to bring scientific and technological achievements daily life and develop the socio-economy.

Ta Viet Dung, deputy head of the State Agency for Technology Innovation, thanked care of leaders of VASC and MOST in the past time. He expressed his determination to promote cooperation programmes on science and technology between the two sides in the near future.
