Publishing House for Science and Technology honoured with two titles at 8th National Book Awards
The two honoured titles are “Gold Mineralisation Types in Northern Vietnam” (author: Tran Tuan Anh (chief editor), Nevolko P.A., Tran Trong Hoa, Pham Thi Dung, Pham Ngoc Can, Vu Hoang Ly and Ngo Thi Huong) and “Air Pollution” (by Pham Duy Hien). These are in-depth monographs with high scientific value and strong practical relevance, making meaningful contributions to research, natural resource and environmental management, and sustainable development.
Attending the ceremony was Prof. Dr. Tran Tuan Anh, Vice President of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology. His presence reflected the Academy’s strong interest in scientific publishing activities. As chief editor of “Gold Mineralisation Types in Northern Vietnam”, he, together with the team of authors, directly contributed expertise, experience and in-depth academic orientation, ensuring the scientific quality and practical value of the honoured work.

The publication “Gold Mineralisation Types in Northern Vietnam” is a meticulously compiled monograph presenting a systematic overview of gold mineralisation types in northern Vietnam, including gold–quartz–sulphide and related formations. The work analyses the origins, geological conditions and tectonic settings of gold deposits, providing a scientific basis for exploration, extraction and sustainable management of valuable mineral resources in Vietnam.
Le Phi Loan, Deputy Director of the Publishing House for Science and Technology, and Nguyen Van Vinh, Head of the Scientific Publications Editorial Department, represent the authors and the publisher in receiving the Third Prize at the 8th National Book Awards for “Air Pollution”
The publication “Air Pollution” provides a comprehensive scientific foundation on the atmosphere, air pollution and climate change, clarifying human-induced causes of global warming, analysing fine particulate matter (PM2.5) and precursor gases, and explaining pollution dispersion mechanisms in relation to meteorological conditions and transboundary impacts. The book helps raise public awareness while offering a scientific basis for policymaking and the development of environmental management solutions aligned with development and international integration requirements.
The recognition of these two publications at the 8th National Book Awards is a testament to the dedication, intellect and efforts of the authors and the Natural Science and Technology Publishing House, under the guidance and strategic direction of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology in ensuring scientific quality, publishing standards and the long-term value of each work. It also serves as motivation for the Publishing House to continue developing strategic monographs and promoting high-value scientific publications, contributing to the dissemination of knowledge and effectively supporting the country’s science, technology and innovation development.
