General Secretary To Lam emphasised that in recent years, the Central Theoretical Council has made highly significant contributions to research and the development of the Party’s theoretical foundations, particularly regarding the path towards socialism in Vietnam. The Council has conducted major reviews and directly contributed to the formulation and refinement of important Party documents, especially those presented at National Party Congresses, helping to shape the country’s long-term development trajectory.

The early consolidation and launch of the Central Theoretical Council for the 2026–2031 term immediately after the 14th National Party Congress is of great significance, reflecting a proactive, dynamic and urgent spirit in advancing theoretical work alongside the Party’s and the nation’s major tasks. The new-term Council has been restructured in line with strong organisational reforms to ensure a streamlined, effective and efficient apparatus, while also clearly demonstrating the Party’s policy of restructuring the organisational system and improving the quality of strategic advisory bodies.
