Prof.Acad. Chau Van Minh receives Medal from National Academy of Sciences of Belarus
At Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST), Mr. Vladimir Goshin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus in Vietnam, on behalf of National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, awarded the Silver Medal of the Institute to Prof.Acad. Chau Van Minh. The Ambassador affirmed that the Republic of Belarus, as well as National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, recognized Prof. Acad. Chau Van Minh is a great scientist who has always actively and consistently supported the expansion of scientific and technological cooperation between Vietnam and Belarus. The awarding of this noble award when Vietnamese science is making many positive contributions in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic is extremely meaningful and symbolic. As President of VAST, Prof.Acad. Chau Van Minh has actively promoted the development of scientific and technological cooperation with the Republic of Belarus in general and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus in particular.

The Ambassador emphasized that the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus is the highest scientific and technological organization of the Republic of Belarus, operating directly under the President of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministers Council. Over the past 20 years, National Academy of Sciences of Belarus has awarded medals to 17 scientists, Prof. Acad. Chau Van Minh is the 18th scientist to receive a silver medal. Previously, Prof. Acad. Mikhail Myasnikovich, former President of National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Chairman of the Senate of the National Assembly and Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, who has visited and worked with Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, was also one of the scientists awarded the silver medal of the National Academy of Sciences of Bela

Prof.Acad. Chau Van Minh expressed his honor and gratitude for the precious love from National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, at the same time thanked Prof. Acad. Vladimir Grigorievich Gusakov – President and Presidium of National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, for always supporting the cooperation relationship with VAST, creating conditions for scientists of both sides to successfully together carry out research projects of great scientific and practical significance in the two countries and, it is hoped that in the coming time, the cooperation between the two Academies will continue to develop and make many new achievements.

Chau Van Minh and thanked for its long-term cooperation the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, as well as the scientific and technological partners from Belarus, and expressed his confidence in the coming time, under the guidance of Prof. Acad. Chau Van Minh – President of VAST, member of National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, along with the support of the Presidium of National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Ambassador, both Academies will implement more joint research and training projects, actively contributing to promoting the cooperation relationship between Vietnam and Belarus.
