Prof. Acad. Chau Van Minh chairs meeting of State-level Scientific Council on long-term preservation and absolutely safe conservation of President Ho Chi Minh’s body
Prof. Acad. Chau Van Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, President of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) and Chairman of the Council, chaired the meeting.

Before the meeting, the Council respectfully offered flowers and visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum.
Major General, Dr. Pham Hai Trung, Head of the Mausoleum Management Board, Commander of the Mausoleum Protection Command and Council Member, reported the results of the Council's activities in 2023 and mission directions for 2024. In 2023, the task of long-term preservation and absolutely safe conservation of President Ho Chi Minh's body was successfully completed. The Council has promoted the spirit of responsibility, intelligence of the collective and each individual to successfully complete the tasks of directing and consulting on scientific research, technology transfer, and application of research results in performing tasks of preserving President Ho Chi Minh’s body; Maintain the Council's operations according to issued regulations; Strictly implement the reporting regime to the Secretariat and the Prime Minister.

Concluding the session, Prof. Acad. Chau Van Minh, Chairman of the Council affirmed the results achieved in implementing the medical and technical tasks of the Mausoleum Management Board, the Mausoleum Protection Command, as well as other outstanding results of the Council in 2023. Regarding the direction of activities in 2024, the Chairman of the Council emphasized the focus on promoting the effectiveness of the activities of the Biomedical Subcommittee and the Technical Subcommittee. Council members continue to direct the authorities of their units to coordinate and guide the Mausoleum Management Board and the Mausoleum Protection Command in implementing research projects; Propose the content of cooperation with the Moscow Biomedical Research Center, the Russian Federation for the period 2026 - 2030, the content of the science and technology conference summarizing 55 years of performing the task of preserving President Ho Chi Minh’s body; Receive comments from Council members, while the Council Chairman requested the completion of the report to the Secretariat and the Prime Minister, ensuring conditions to best complete the task of long-term preservation and absolutely safe conservation of President Ho Chi Minh's body.
