Party Executive Committee of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology: Conference on implementing Resolution 18-NQ/TW

On December 14, 2024, the Party Executive Committee of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) held a conference chaired by Professor and Academician Chau Van Minh, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, Secretary of VAST Party Committee, and President of VAST. The conference was attended by members of the Party Standing Committee and the Executive Committee.

The conference was convened to implement the Central Steering Committee and Government Steering Committee’s plan to review Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017, issued by the Central Committee of the Communist Party. This resolution addresses various issues related to continuing innovation, restructuring the organization of the political system to ensure streamlined, efficient, and effective operation. The Party Committee of VAST organized the conference to gather input on the implementation of this resolution.

Professor and Academician Chau Van Minh presided over the discussions, during which the participants worked diligently, seriously, and with a high level of focus. The conference reviewed and discussed the reports and proposals of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of VAST

Based on these discussions, the participants unanimously approved the proposal to restructure and consolidate the organizational apparatus and party organizations within VAST. The Party Executive Committee tasked the Standing Committee with incorporating feedback from the conference, refining the documents, and submitting them to the Central Steering Committee and the Government Steering Committee in accordance with regulations.

The conference also reached consensus on other relevant matters within its jurisdiction.
