Outstanding Youth Union Secretary of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology honored as Outstanding Youth Union Secretary of Central Agencies Bloc in 2024
On October 17, 2024, the Youth Union of the Central Agencies Bloc and the Youth Union of the People's Public Security jointly organized the political activity program "The spirit of Ly Tu Trong and the aspirations of youth in the new era" and the ceremony to honor outstanding Youth Union Secretaries of the year 2024 at the outdoor studio of Vietnam Television.
The program was attended by comrade Nguyen Pham Duy Trang, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, Chairman of the Central Council of Young Pioneers; Comrade Lai Xuan Lam, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Agencies; Comrade Major General Ngo Hoai Thu, Deputy Director of the Department of Party and Political Affairs of the Ministry of Public Security; delegates who are experts, leaders of departments and units of the Party Committee of the Central Agencies, Vietnam Television, units under the Ministry of Public Security and more than 500 delegates who are Secretaries, Deputy Secretaries, members and outstanding young people from the youth unions under the Central Agencies Bloc and the Youth Union of the People's Public Security.
2024 marks the 110th anniversary of the birth of hero and martyr Ly Tu Trong, a young communist, the first youth union member of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union. Lieutenant Colonel Dong Duc Vu, Head of the Youth Union of the People's Public Security, delivered the opening speech of the program "Following the spirit of Ly Tu Trong, with the care of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh, the education, training and guidance of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, throughout the glorious history of the country, generations of Vietnamese youth have always held high the ideal flag "the path of youth is only the path of revolution".
At the political activity program, union members and youth of the two units had the opportunity to review the milestones and important events in the revolutionary life of Ly Tu Trong; listen to the thematic report "Some new perceptions about the new era, the era of the Vietnamese nation's rise"; and participate in the exchange with delegates and guests with the theme "The spirit of Ly Tu Trong and the aspirations of youth in the new era."
Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Lai Xuan Lam, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Agencies Bloc, said "Currently, the domestic and international situation has many great and profound changes, our youth are facing many opportunities, but also have to face many challenges. However, the spirit and basic values in the life and revolutionary career of the heroic martyr Ly Tu Trong are always the torch to light the way for today's young generation to confidently and firmly move forward."
In particular, within the framework of the program, the Youth Union of Central Agencies and the Youth Union of the People's Public Security decided to commend 60 outstanding and outstanding Youth Union Secretaries in 2024. These are Youth Union Secretaries with many outstanding achievements in Youth Union work and youth movements at the grassroots level, receiving the trust of Party committees, leaders of units and the trust of union members and youth.
The Youth Union of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology is honored to have two grassroots Youth Union Secretaries receiving the Commendation for Outstanding Youth Union Secretaries of the Youth Union of the Central Agencies Bloc in 2024: Comrade Nguyen Thi Thanh Nga, Member of the Executive Committee of the Youth Union of the Academy, Secretary of the Youth Union of the Institute of Chemistry and Comrade Tran Huu Hung, Member of the Executive Committee of the Youth Union of the Academy, Secretary of the Youth Union of the Institute of Oceanography.
