Ninth meeting of Executive Board of VAST Party Committee: Results of first 6 months of the year and key tasks in last 6 months of 2022

On June 24, 2022, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) Party Committee held the 9th meeting of Executive Board of VAST Party Committee: Results of the first 6 months of the year and key tasks in the last 6 months of 2022. Comrade Chau Van Minh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of VAST Party Committee, and President of VAST, chaired the event. The meeting also drew the participation of members of the Executive Board of VAST Party Committee.

The overview of the meeting

The following main contents include the presentation of draft reports, discussion and voting to approve the contents of the report.

Comrade Chau Van Minh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of VAST Party Committee, and President of VAST, delivered the opening speech at the meeting

After the opening speech by Mr. Minh, four draft reports were presented at the meeting. They are:

1. Report on the results of the Party's work in the first 6 months of the year, the key tasks of the VAST Party Committee in the last 6 months of 2022 presented by Mr. Pham Tuan Huy, Standing Deputy Secretary of the VAST Party Committee.
2. Report on results of inspection, supervision and enforcement of party discipline in the first 6 months of the year, key tasks in the last 6 months of 2022, presented by Mr. Hoang Nghia Son.
3. Report on Conclusions on the implementation of Resolution 73-NQ/DUVHL on “Improving training associated with scientific research and technological development” presented by Mr. Ha Quy Quynh.
4. Report on the Project on upgrading the grassroots Party cell of the High-Tech Development Center into the grassroots Party Committee of the High-Tech Development Center, presented by Mr. Ha Quy Quynh.

Presenting the report at the meeting

Delegates contributed comments on each specific content in reports. 100% of the delegates unanimously approved 3 out of 4 draft reports presented directly at the meeting, and passed the Resolution of the 9th Executive Board of VAST Party Committee.
Particularly, the report Conclusion on the implementation of Resolution 73-NQ/DUVHL on “Improving training associated with scientific research and technological development” was assigned to the drafting team to continue to perfect it to submit to the next meeting.

Delegates discuss and contribute ideas

Summing up the event, Prof. Acad. Chau Van Minh, Secretary of the VAST Party Committee, acknowledged the efforts in Party building within VAST Party Committee in the first six months of 2022. He suggested that the Executive Committee, secretaries of Party Committees should closely focus leading and directing the units to promote the common activities of the Academy in the last 6 months of 2022, successfully completing the assigned tasks.
