New advances in the publication of Scientific Journal of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology
The project "Improving the quality of journals according to international standards for the period 2021-2025" started for 07 journals, including Vietnam Journal of Science and Technology, Communications in Physics, Vietnam Journal of Computer Science and Cybernetics, Vietnam Journal of Mechanics, Academia Journal of Biology, Journal of Biotechnology, Journal of Marine Science and Technology.
Up to now, in 2021, VASS has 5 prestigious journals in the world (International journals), which are indexed by reputable citation systems:
Advances in Natural Sciences: Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, with 2020 evaluation indexes from citation statistics of systems: (a) Scopus with CiteScore = 4.8 calculated from 1,437 citations out of a total of 298 articles published in 4 years from 2017 to 2020; SNIP = 0.985; CiteScoreTracker = 3.2 for the first 6 months of 2021 (https://www.scopus.com/sourceid/21100286862), (b) SCImago with H-index = 40; magazine quality reached Q2; SJR = 0.476.
The Vietnam Journal of Mathematics in 2020 belongs to the list of Q2 journals, and according to Scopus's assessment, has SJR = 0.443; SNIP = 0.828 and H-index = 13 (https://www.resurchify.com/impact/details/21100286934).
According to Scopus statistics, the evaluation results for Acta Mathematica Vietnamica in 2020 are as follows: H-index = 12, SJR = 0.388; Q3 magazine (https://academic-accelerator.com/Impact-Factor-IF/Acta-Mathematica-Vietnamica).
Vietnam Journal of Earth Sciences, on May 11, 2021, has been listed in Scopus's list. Currently, the Journal has a CiteScore of 0.7.
Vietnam Journal of Chemistry (VJC): On March 8, 2021, the Chemistry Journal received a letter of acceptance from Compendex System. On May 11, 2021, VJC was officially listed on the Scopus system. Because it is simultaneously indexed in two reputable systems, WoS and Scopus, in 2020 the citation rate increased by 119% compared to 2019, showing that the Journal is increasingly attracting the attention of scientists.

Based on the internationally recognized and prestigious evaluation results of the scientific quality of the journals, a number of interdisciplinary professors' councils have applied to raise the benchmark for articles published in journals of VAST when calculating the score of published works in the process of reviewing the applications of Professor and Associate Professor candidates.
In the first 6 months of 2021, the journals published on schedule, followed the set targets in terms of both quantity and quality, completed the new appointment /reappointment of leadership positions and the edition council for the new term (2021-2025). Feedback is from leading experts in Vietnam and the world, so the quality of articles is strictly censored and highly appreciated by experts. The quality of English is guaranteed.
Vietnam currently has 07 journals indexed in the Web of Science system and 06 journals indexed in the Scopus system, of which VAST has 5 journals listed in both WoS and Scopus citation systems./.
