Representing VAST Party Committee were Dr. Pham Tuan Huy, Deputy Secretary, and Assc. Prof. Dr. Tran Tuan Anh, Member of the Central Agencies’ Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of VAST’s Party Committee and Vice President of VAST. Representing VAST’s Trade Union were Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tam, Trade Union Chairman, along with members of the Trade Union Executive Board. The Institute of Ecology and Biological Resources was represented by Dr. Le Hung Anh, Party Secretary and Director of the Institute, and leaders of the Me Linh Biodiversity Station.

The Me Linh Biodiversity Station, a division of the Institute of Ecology and Biological Resources, established in 1999. The station is tasked with researching and building a living specimen collection of tropical wildlife species for biodiversity conservation and providing genetic resources for species with scientific and economic value; rescuing and conserving wild animal and plant species; conducting and supporting basic and applied research on ecosystems, species and genetic resources; implementing biodiversity and genetic conservation activities; participating in human resource training in ecology and biological resources; and promoting environmental education activities.

During the meeting, VAST awarded commemorative medals to Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Delegation, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Chairman of the Vietnamese Public Sector Union, and to Mr. Nguyen Van Dong, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnamese Public Sector Union for their contributions to the VAST Trade Union and its development.
On behalf of VAST’s Party Committee and leadership, Mr. Tran Tuan Anh presented the commemorative medals to Mr. Nguyen Van Dong, expressing hope for continued support and cooperation from the Vietnamese Public Sector Union for VAST and its Trade Union
Mr. Nguyen Van Dong commended the VAST Trade Union for its recent efforts and expressed hopes that it would continue to enhance its activities in the future
