Meeting held for preliminary review of Party work in Q1 and key tasks and solutions for Q2 of 2025
Comrade Chau Van Minh – Member of the Central Party Committee, VAST Party Committee Secretary, and President of VAST – chaired the meeting, which was attended by members of the Executive Committee and the Inspection Commission of the Party Committee. Also present at the meeting were representatives from the Party Central Committee Commission on Popularisation, Education and Mass Mobilisation Commission, the Party Central Committee Commission on Inspection, and the Party Central Committee Commission on Internal Affairs.

In his opening remarks, Comrade Chau Van Minh outlined several key points for Q1 2025, including the implementation of directives from the Central Steering Committee and the Government Steering Committee; decisive and focused efforts by the Party Committee and VAST leadership to effectively streamline and consolidate the organisational structure and Party organisations within the Academy, in accordance with Resolution 18-NQ/TW dated 25 October 2017 of the 6th Plenum of the 12th Party Central Committee on “Some issues regarding continued renovation and streamlining of the political system for more effective and efficient operation”; and the proactive leadership and direction of Party congresses at all levels, in line with Directive 35-CT/TW dated 14 June 2024 of the Politburo and Plan 01-KH/DU dated 24 February 2025 of the Government’s Party Committee, aimed at organising local congresses in preparation for the first Party Congress of the Government Party Committee for the 2025–2030 term. Other assigned political tasks were also implemented.
The meeting discussed and clarified the achievements in Q1, identified existing limitations in leadership and execution of political and Party-building tasks – particularly the challenges in reorganising VAST's structure following direct consultations with affiliated units – and proposed key solutions to effectively carry out assigned tasks in Q2 of 2025.

In the first quarter of 2025, VAST's Party Committee focused on directing and completing assigned political tasks, achieving important results in the following areas: implementation of political duties; scientific research; training of scientific and technological human resources and cadre development; application of research results in production and daily life; international cooperation; organisational and personnel work and inspections; digital transformation; political, ideological, and ethical leadership; Party organisation and development; inspection and supervision; leadership of information, education and mass mobilisation, and public organisations.
After hearing the draft report, the meeting engaged in discussion, offered feedback to clarify achievements in the first quarter, and proposed key solutions to effectively carry out tasks in the second quarter of 2025. The meeting unanimously approved the main contents of the report.
