Meeting and assigning tasks for Lunar New Year 2022

On the morning of February 7, in the warm and joyful atmosphere of the meeting at the beginning of the Lunar New Year 2022, Prof. Acad. Chau Van Minh, Member of the Executive Committee of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, and President of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, sent greetings to officials and employees of the Units who helped the President of the Academy, the Office of Civil Affairs Party, Trade Union, Youth Union, Veterans Association, and Project Management Board of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, a New Year full of health, happiness, well-being and prosperity.

At the meeting, President Chau Van Minh said that 2021 was the year where many major events took place, as well as the year when the COVID-19 pandemic re-emerged and negatively affected the economy and society of the country.

Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology has given the highest focus to the prevention and control of COVID-19 before and during the Lunar New Year. Adapting flexibly to the new situation, VAST’s staff have strived to well implement the set goals and tasks, and achieved much success in most fields.

He emphasized that, entering 2022, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology will continue to strictly abide by the Government's regulations on ensuring the effective prevention of the COVID-19 pandemic. Cadres and officials need to uphold the spirit of overcoming difficulties and challenges, have suggestions, initiatives and creativity in working methods and immediately start working from the first day of the new year to successfully complete the assigned tasks, and contribute to the development of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, worthy of being the leading scientific agency of the country.

At the end of the meeting, all officials and employees took event photos to show solidarity and unanimously complete the goals in the new year.

President Chau Van Minh wishes Happy New Year to officials and employees of the Units helping the President of VAST, and assigns tasks at the beginning of the Year of the Tiger in 2022
