Launching the emulation movement in 2024 of President of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology

At the Conference to summarize the 2023 work and implement the 2024 plan of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, on December 22, 2023, President Chau Van Minh launched the 2024 emulation movement throughout VAST:

Continue to implement the Prime Minister's Directive 19/CT-TTg dated July 16, 2021 on launching the emulation to successfully implement the annual socio-economic development tasks and the 5-year plan (2021-2025) according to the Resolution of the XIII National Congress of the Party,  on behalf of the Emulation and Commendation Council of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, I launched the emulation movement throughout VAST with the theme "Solidarity, innovation, emulation to make excellent achievements in completing assigned political tasks" to encourage all staff,  officials, scientists and employees in VAST continue to strive and resolve to successfully complete the targets and tasks in 2024, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the Party Congress at all levels.

Comrades!

2024 is the year to urgently implement the 5-year plan (2021-2025), an important year to implement the Resolution of the General Meeting of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology for the term 2020-2025 towards the 50th anniversary of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology and the implementation of the Development Strategy of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology Vietnam to 2030, vision to 2045 has been approved by the Prime Minister. I wish all staff, officials and employees in Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology to focus and unite to perform well the following important tasks:

1. To organize practical activities to celebrate major national holidays and activities towards the 50th anniversary of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology and the XI National Patriotic Emulation Congress in 2025.
2. Continue to effectively implement the emulation movements launched by the Prime Minister and practical patriotic emulation movements, contributing to the successful implementation of political tasks in 2024.
3. Continue to promote the prevention and fight against corruption, prevent and reverse the deterioration of political thought, morality, lifestyle, study and follow Ho Chi Minh thought, ethics and style, develop plans for the Party Congress at all levels, especially at the grassroots level, to conduct the Congress in the first and second quarters of 2025. Renovate emulation movements associated with the implementation of research tasks, application of science and technology into practice; training and fostering highly qualified scientific and technological human resources.
4. Focus on implementing important schemes and resolutions assigned by the Central, Politburo and Government such as Resolution 36-NQ/TW dated January 30, 2023; Resolution 45-NQ/TW dated 24/11/2023 of the Central Committee and Decision 169/QD-TTg dated 04/02/2021 of the Prime Minister.
5. Continue to implement well major projects and tasks assigned by the Prime Minister.
6. Promote the publication of quality research works, paying special attention to improving the quality of international publications up to international standards. Improve product quality, science and technology tasks. Strengthen technology incubation, application of science and technology to production and life, intellectual property, promote research directions suitable to the fourth industrial revolution.
7. Promote the propagation, detection and replication of advanced examples, praise, honor and reward typical collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in various fields. Perform reward work timely, openly, transparently and in accordance with regulations. Focus on rewarding employees directly, collectively and individually with outstanding achievements.

After today's conference, I request the heads of organizing units to thoroughly review and concretize the emulation contents, continue to launch the emulation movement in accordance with the practical conditions of the units in order to well perform the assigned political tasks.

In that spirit, on behalf of the Emulation and Reward Council, I request all cadres, officials and employees of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology to uphold the tradition of solidarity to emulate the highest achievements, contributing to the successful implementation of assigned political tasks, contributing to building Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology to develop strongly.
