Launching Ceremony of Southern Satellite Technology Application Center

On February 17, 2014, at the Representative Office of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology held the Opening Ceremony of Center for Application of Southern Satellite Technology under the National Satellite Center. family. Attending the ceremony were Prof.. Chau Van Minh, Chairman of VAST; Assoc. Phan Van Kiem, Head of the Organization and Personnel Department and representatives of the leaders of the Southern units directly under VAST, together with the staff of the Southern Center for Application of Satellite Technology.

Center for Application of Satellite Technology in the South is a unit under the National Satellite Center, with its own seal and functions to develop research and application of satellite technology, especially in the Southern region and participate in implementing a part of Vietnam Space Center project (component project "Ho Chi Minh City Center for Technology Application") at TP. Ho Chi Minh.

At the launching ceremony, President Chau Van Minh handed over the decision to appoint TS. Lam Dao Nguyen is the Director of the Southern Satellite Technology Application Center, and congratulated the National Satellite Center for a new development. GS. Chau Van Minh believes that with the spirit of effective working, the Center for Southern Satellite Technology Application will quickly overcome difficulties in the early period of establishment to contribute to the common success of the Satellite Center. Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Pham Anh Tuan - Director of the National Satellite Center expressed his thanks to the leaders of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology during the past time, who have always been interested in directing and supporting Trung"s development. National Satellite Center, at the same time sharing the development plans in the coming time of the Center as well as the Center of Southern Satellite Technology Application. Besides, Assoc. Pham Anh Tuan is also pleased to announce the good results of the visit of the leader of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology and the National Satellite Center working in Nha Trang (preparing to build the project "Dai National Astronomy ”) and in Ho Chi Minh City Hi-tech Park. Ho Chi Minh City (has been introduced the location to implement the project "Center for the Application of Space Technology in Ho Chi Minh City").
