Kingdom of Belgium Ambassador has farewell meeting with VAST ahead of term-end

On 27 July 2015, Mr. Bruno Angelet, Ambassador from the Kingdom of Belgium to Vietnam had a farewell meeting with the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology before the end of his term in Vietnam. Professor and Academic Chau Van Minh, VAST President; Assc. Prof. Dr. Ninh Khac Ban, Head of International Cooperation Board; and Dr. Bui Trong Tuyen, Vice Head of the Space Technology Institute and Head of the small satellite project management unit, attended the reception set for the Belgian ambassador.

Professor and Academic Chau Van Minh congratulated Mr. Bruno Angelet for completing his missions in Vietnam as the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium and thanked him for his active contributions in promoting the cooperation between VAST and Belgian partners in terms of scientific and technological development in general and particularly in the cooperation projects between the two countries in space and satellite technology.

To recognise the ambassador’s contributions in promoting the scientific and technological cooperation relations between VAST and partners from the Kingdom of Belgium over the past time, on behalf of VAST, Professor and Academic Chau Van Minh, VAST President, awarded a VAST insignia for Ambassador Bruno Angelet.


Being close to and working in Vietnam for 4 years as an ambassador, Mr. Bruno Angelet thanked VAST for strict cooperation with Belgian partners. He expressed his hope that after the end of his term (late July, 2015), VAST would continue to support his successor in the near future, wishing the cooperative  relationship between the two sides increased success.
