International Conference on Discrete Mathematics and Computer Science

The International Conference on Discrete Mathematics and Computer Science took place at Da Lat University, Da Lat city, the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong, on December 1 and 2. The event was organized by Da Lat University (DLU), The International Center for Research and Training in Mathematics under the auspices of UNESCO (ICRTM), the Institute of Mathematics (IMH) under the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST), International Research Network on Mathematical and Computing Models for Complex Systems (UMMISCO), the Institute of Research for Development (IRD), French Republic, Thuy Loi University (TLU), Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), and VinGroup Innovation Fund (VinIF). The conference drew the participation of officials, researchers and students from 22 universities, 01 institute, 01 international research unit, and 03 enterprises across the country.

The organizers said that Discrete Mathematics and Computer Science play an important role in the digital era. These two fields are essential tools in most of the applied sciences and solve a lot of practical problems in everyday life. Therefore, the spirit of the International Conference on Discrete Mathematics and Computer Science in 2022 is to connect, strengthen and expand the network of researchers in the field of discrete mathematics and computer science in Vietnam. This is a forum for scientists, postgraduate and graduate students to exchange ideas and methods, introduce and discuss results, research directions on combinatorics, graph theory, computer science and related issues both in terms of theory and practical applications. The forum aims at the formation of new research groups as well as the connection between research groups on these topics in Vietnam.

Participants focused on major topics such as Graph theory and networks; community search algorithms and complex systems mining; problems in modeling and simulation, diverse applications in data mining of systems, medicine, epidemiology, as well as in ecosystems and biology. The conference consists of 05 plenary papers and 23 other reports which are divided into 07 working sessions. In particular, it devoted 01 scientific session to Interactive Modeling so that the participants could directly participate and interact with the models.
